Everyone had such a lovely time celebrating our Provo heritage at the Pioneer Village Founders’ Day on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, from 5 PM to 8 PM! It was a joy to have such a wonderful program that evening.
We were delighted to feature Native American-style flute music by Gary Hansen, hear from the Provo Chief Administrative Officer, Scott Henderson, and learn from our keynote speaker, Sondra G. Jones, PhD. Dr. Jones shared her valuable insights on “A Very Fertile Valley: Homeland of the Timpanogos Utes.” The main program was at 6 PM in the Carriage House, where Mr. Henderson also shared exciting details about the current state of Provo and the direction for its future.
It was a pleasure to see everyone enjoying the insightful presentations, the beautiful sounds of Native American-style music, the delicious refreshments, and the chance to explore our historic cabins.
In addition to the Founders’ Day program, the DUP Museum Bazaar was also held on April 1st from 5 PM to 8 PM.
